Cameron Vega

Cam Vega is entering his third year at Cisco College.
 
In his first two seasons, the Wranglers have won 68 games. His first recruiting class ('22) saw 37 wins, a top-4 conference finish, and a postseason birth to the 2023 Region 5 Tournament. During his tenure, there have been 42 Wranglers move on to the next level.
 
Prior to Cisco, Vega attended Texas Tech University. There, he was a member of the Red Raider baseball team from 2018-2020. During his time in Lubbock, Vega made 2 trips to the College World Series (2018 and 2019) in Omaha, and captured a Big 12 Championship (2019). Vega returned to the Red Raiders in 2021 as a Graduate Assistant.
 
The two previous summers, Vega was an Assistant Coach for the Santa Barbara Foresters (CA) in the California Collegiate League. In his first season, the Foresters won the CCL South Division Title, and Vega was selected as a coach for the 2022 CCL All-Star Game. The 'Sters went 6-0 at the 2022 NBC World Series and captured their record 10th NBC World Series Championship. Vega returned to the Foresters for the 2023 summer. The 'Sters repeated as CCL South Division Champions, and Vega was selected to represent the Foresters as a coach in the 2023 CCL All-Star Game, for the second consecutive year. During his two summers with the Foresters, Vega has coached 9 MLB draft picks.
 
In December 2023, Vega was named the Manager of the Abilene Flying Bison in the Mid-America League for the summer of 2024.
 
Since joing the Wranglers, Vega works primarily with catchers and also handles recruiting. On game day, Vega serves as the third base coach.
