The girls competed in the Texas Tech Open last Friday at the Lubbock Christian campus. This race was a 6K instead of the normal 5K and the girls did well competing against schools such as Oklahoma, Texas Tech, NM State, UTEP, and West Texas A&M. There were 130 girls who participated with the lowest time being 21:50.00. Marisa Otero and Elizabeth Martinez finished in front of participants from Hardin Simmons, Sul Ross State, Lubbock Christian, UTPB, and University of Dallas. As you can see from the cover photo, the race was wet and muddy, as it had stormed the night before but that didn't stop our girls from doing their best.

Our next meet will be this Friday, September 22nd in Hobbs, New Mexico at New Mexico Junior College.
