The Cisco College Athletic Department has announced the hiring of René Crockett as Cisco's new head volleyball coach. 

René Crockett is an accomplished and dedicated coach with a passion for empowering athletes to achieve their fullest potential. Originally hailing from Keller, Texas, René's journey in coaching has spanned over 17 years, leaving an indelible mark on the lives of countless athletes.

After graduating from Mid-America Christian University with a degree in Counseling Psychology, René quickly immersed herself in the coaching world. Her dedication and expertise led her to establish a successful club in Oklahoma, where she provided comprehensive training and mentorship to aspiring athletes.

René's commitment to her players' success is evident in her track record of helping well over 100 (and counting) athletes secure athletic scholarships at every level. Her astute guidance, strategic approach, and unwavering support have enabled her players to not only excel on the court but also in their academic pursuits.

Prior to her Cisco, René coached under the leadership of Nicole Smith at Ranger College. Inspired by her experiences, René now embarks on a new chapter in her coaching career as she assumes the role of head coach at Cisco College. “The culture of the volleyball program at Cisco College drew me in. The girls are great and want to work. It will be an exciting experience that I am fully looking forward to beginning!” 

René’s own athletic background, having competed at both the NAIA and DII levels in college, gives her unique insight into the challenges and opportunities athletes face. As a coach René is renowned for her comprehensive approach, combining technical expertise, tactical acumen, and a strong focus on character development. She believes in cultivating not only exceptional athletes but also well-rounded individuals who exhibit sportsmanship, resilience, and integrity both on and off the court.
