Cisco Volleyball finishes a 4-1 week

The Wranglers put up a dominant defensive performance and got key performances from several young players to earn their first home win of the season over WTC. The team came out on fire in sets one and two to hit a combined hitting percentage of .232. WTC came back to win set three holding the Wranglers to a hitting percentage of .077. After some adjustments from the Wranglers in set four, the Wrangler kept a steady hitting percentage of a .184 with 31 digs. The Wranglers ended the match with 5 blocks, 6 aces, 102 digs, and hitting a .126. The Wranglers next match is against #17 Seward County for the first match of the Wrangler Ranger Roundup tournament held at home.  

The Lady Wranglers followed that performance with a 3-1 showing at the 3rd Annual Wrangler Ranger Round-Up scoring victories over Seminole State College (27-25, 25-16, 25-21), Victoria College (25-14, 22-25, 25-13, 25-15) and Dallas College Brookhaven (25-22, 25-14, 20-25, 25-21).  The lone loss was a five set defeat at the hands of #17 Seward County Community College (16-25, 28-26, 17-25, 25-22, 11-15).  Leading the way for the Wranglers for the weekend were Sophomore setter Gracie Story who dished out 155 assists over the four matches.  Sophomore Outside Hitter, Kindsee Escamilla led the Wranglers with 41 kills and 13 aces. 

 The Wranglers return to action Wednesday night at home when the face Dallas College Mountain View at 6:00 PM.  Over Labor Day weekend, the Wranglers will be traveling to McCook, Nebraska to compete in the McCook Invitational September 2-3.  Remember, to visit the Cisco College Volleyball page for updates about each match being live-streamed.
