Lady Wrangler Volleyball Season Preview

Lady Wrangler Volleyball Season Preview

Following the postponement of their Fall season, the Cisco Volleyball team is prepared to start competing and taking advantage of this unprecedented Spring season. The Wranglers are looking forward to building off of the 2019-2020 season, where they finished 4th in the NTJCAC regular season and 3rd in the NTJCAC Conference Tournament. Seven players return to this year’s team including Sophomore Giulia Sasso, the 2019 Conference Newcomer of the Year. The Wranglers also added necessary depth to the roster, bringing in 11 new players, including Sophomore Morgan Lewis who last season played with the 2019 National Champions, Navarro College. This added depth has fostered a culture of competitiveness in the gym and has pushed the team to new limits. Also, the addition of new Head Coach Jon Stenman and Assistant Coach Alex Holt, brings fresh excitement to the program and the team is eager to show the hard work they have put in leading up to this season.

The Wranglers will be tested early this season with matches against nationally ranked Navarro College, Trinity Valley Community College, and New Mexico Military Institute before NTJCAC Conference play begins.  Wrangler Volleyball opens the season at home on January 26th against Texas Wesleyan at 6 pm with NTJCAC Conference matches beginning February 15th against NCTC.
