Wranglers Pick Up Win Against Southwestern Adventist

The Lady Wranglers took the field Saturday evening in Keene, Texas as they traveled to take on Southwestern Adventist University in a non-conference matchup. Taking the field just a little over 24 hours after their Friday match against Ranger College, Cisco would be victorious by a score of 3-2 with goals being scored by Summer Odom(1), Jennifer Cruz(2), and Marta Crespo(4).

Cisco Head Coach Brandon McGibeny had this to say about the game, "Regardless of how it happens, it is always good to get win. Our girls did a good job of keeping their composure and overcoming some tired legs in order to come out victorious. I told our team before the game started that we needed to learn how to win and I think we took a big step in getting the result today. Not only did we control the game with our possession, but we were able to find new ways to get the ball in the back of the net which we hope to use going forward."

Geraldine Rubio played all 90 minutes in goal allowing 2 goals and recording 3 saves. Daisy Goode, Wendy Ramirez, Thaiza Goncalves, Adora Lumpkin, Isabel Carreon, and Madeline Hallum would all record shots in the game as well.

The win marks the second win of the season for the Lady Wranglers and puts them at 2-8-1 on the season as they enter their final matchup of the year as they host Garden City CC (6-9) for Sophomore Day.
