Women's Basketball Season Ends

Women's Basketball Season Ends

ADVERSITY.

It was a season of overcoming for the Cisco College Lady Wranglers. However, there was fight and a will to battle until the very end.

Adversity struck early after the first semester. A busted pipe resulted in a complete change in the normal operating procedures of a college basketball team. The Wranglers were forced to practice at Cisco High School, Myrtle Wilks Community Center, and Eastland High School. After careful evaluation of the playing service the team was left with only half a court to practice on and no place to play home games. The entire home conference schedule was played on the road at the Brownwood Coliseum. A truly difficult task to overcome with games being played twice a week.

The Lady Wranglers also overcame injuries. Multiple players were lost to season ending injuries resulting in many lineup changes and the next player being forced to step up. Every player on the team took everything in stride and worked until the final buzzer sounded.

The Wranglers learned and grew from the 2022-23 basketball season.
