Wranglers Win Conference Series against Ranger

Friday, March 15th 

Game 1 (10-4)

The Wranglers scored nine runs in the bottom of the fourth, starting when an error scored two runs. Julia Saucedo drew a walk, scoring one run, Natalie Pinongrounded out, scoring one run, Taylor Ramirez doubled, scoring one, and Mikaela Salinas homered to left field, scoring three. The last run came from a solo home run by Ramirez in the sixth. Akaysia Grogan earned the win for Cisco, surrendered seven hits and four runs, striking out nine and walking two. Alyssa Brister drew three walks and Ramirez went 2-for-4. 

Game 2 (3-13)

The Wranglers opened up the score in the bottom of the first when Mikaela Salinas hit a 2-run home run. Kylee Watson doubled in the third after a 6-pitch at bat, scoring one. Salinas and Julia Saucedo both went 2-for-2. Unfortunately those runs weren't enough for the Wranglers and ended up taking the 3-13 loss.  

 

Sunday, March 17th

Game 1 (8-0)

Cisco attacked earlier in the top of the first inning when Mikaela Salinas drew a walk and Alyssa Brister doubled, scoring two runs. In the top of the fourth inning, the Wranglers scored five runs. Taylor Ramirez doubled, scoring three runs, and Mia Wimmer homered to right field, scoring two runs. Akaysia Grogan earned the win for the Wranglers, allowing three hits and zero runs, striking out five. Ramirez went 3-for-4 at the plate, Salinas drew two walks, and Natalie Pinon stole two bases. 

Game 2 (14-9)

Two sacrifice flies helped Cisco get on the board early in the top of the first inning. The Wranglers came back from an 8-2 deficit. Akaysia Grogan hit into a fielder's choice which helped Cisco tie the game at nine in the top of the sixth. Taylor Ramirez's grand slam in the top of the seventh solidified the win for Cisco, 14-9. Harley Staton earned the win for Cisco, allowing two hits and one run over five and one-third innings, striking out five and walking two. The Wranglers collected 11 hits in the game. Julia Saucedo and Kassidy Bradshaw collected multiple hits, and Alyssa Brister went 3-for-3. 

The Wranglers next game will be this Wednesday, March 20th at Hill College in Hillsboro, TX.
