Wranglers Split Weekend in El Paso

The Lady Wranglers traveled to El Paso on Thursday, February 8th to take on EPCC and Pima CC on Friday and Saturday.

 

Cisco played against EPCC first and fell one run short in the 6-7 loss. We took the lead 4-2, in the top of the third thanks to singles by Kassidy Bradshaw, and Hannah Love. Mikaela Salinas hit a solo home run in the top of the fifth. The Wranglers were patient at the plate with six walks, Mikaela Salinas with two. 

 

In the second game against Pima CC the Wranglers fell 9-1. Harley Staton was the pitcher for Cisco and had four strikeouts. Addison Flores went 1-for-2 at the plate. 

 

Cisco definitely turned it around the second day and secured two wins. The first game against EPCC the girls won 16-9. Mikaela Salinas drove in seven runs on three hits to lead Cisco to victory. A grand slam in the fourth, scoring four and a single in the sixth, scoring three. Kylee Watson earned the win for Cisco, allowing six hits and four runs over five and two-thirds innings, striking out one. The Wranglers tallied up 19 hits, Flores and Salinas each collected three hits. 

 

The Wranglers kept their energy rolling into the next game and secured the 7-5 win against Pima CC. Cisco got on the board in the bottom of the second inning after Kassidy Bradshaw singled, Gracyn Slack singled, Akaysia Grogan singled, and Natalie Pinon grounded out, each scoring one run. Grogan was great on the mound allowing only six hits over seven innings, striking out 12. Overall great win for the Wranglers. 

 

The Wranglers will be putting on their annual Cisco College Invitational in Brownwood, TX this weekend. First game will be at 10:30am against Otero College on Friday the 16th.
