A walk-off left Cisco College Wranglers on the wrong end of an 8-7 defeat to Temple College Leopards on Wednesday. Temple College Leopards was down 7-5 in the bottom of the seventh inning when Krissy Boyd homered on a 2-2 count, scoring three runs.

Cisco College Wranglers lost despite out-hitting Temple College Leopards Varsity nine to six.

In the first inning, Cisco College Wranglers got their offense started. Alyssa Hickman drew a walk, scoring one run.

In the bottom of the fourth inning, Temple College Leopards tied things up at two. Dae Drgac grounded out into a double play, scoring one run.

Cisco College Wranglers notched five runs in the fifth inning. The big inning was thanks to walks by Bailey Buck and Lauren Aleman, a single by Alyssa Kelley, and an error on a ball put in play by Shayla Hopkins.

Alexis Hamilton pitched Temple College Leopards to victory. The pitcher surrendered two runs on four hits over two and two-thirds innings, striking out one.

Buck took the loss for Cisco College Wranglers. The righty lasted six innings, allowing six hits and eight runs.

Maddy Gonzales started the game for Temple College Leopards. Gonzales went four and a third innings, allowing five runs on five hits and striking out four.

Sara Papizan led Cisco College Wranglers with two hits in four at bats.

Boyd went 2-for-3 at the plate to lead Temple College Leopards in hits.
