Cisco College Wranglers Grabs Lead In Sixth Inning To Defeat North Central Texas College Lions Varsity

Cisco College Wranglers snatched the lead late in the game in a 6-5 victory over North Central Texas College Lions on Wednesday. The game was tied at three with Cisco College Wranglers batting in the top of the sixth when an error scored one run for Cisco College Wranglers.

North Central Texas College Lions scored three runs in the first inning, but Cisco College Wranglers still managed to pull out the victory. North Central Texas College Lions scored its runs on a triple by Heather Hoffman.

Cisco College Wranglers got on the board in the first inning when Maddie Murley homered on a 2-2 count, scoring two runs.

In the top of the second inning, Cisco College Wranglers tied things up at three. A sacrifice bunt by Shayla Hopkins scored one run for Cisco College Wranglers.

After Cisco College Wranglers scored two runs in the top of the seventh, North Central Texas College Lions answered with two of their own. Cisco College Wranglers scored when Cisco College Wranglers scored one run on a stolen base and Murley grounded out, scoring one run. North Central Texas College Lions then answered when Kenzlee Zaher doubled on a 2-1 count, scoring one run and Sasha Jennings singled on a 3-1 count, scoring one run.

Caitlyn Rangel earned the victory in the circle for Cisco College Wranglers. The righthander went seven innings, allowing five runs on six hits and striking out seven.

Elizabeth Schroeter took the loss for North Central Texas College Lions. The bulldog lasted one inning, allowing zero hits and zero runs while striking out one and walking zero.

Taylor Spence started the game for North Central Texas College Lions. Spence went six innings, allowing six runs on three hits, striking out three and walking one.

Cisco College Wranglers hit one home run on the day. Murley had a homer in the first inning.

Murley went 2-for-4 at the plate to lead Cisco College Wranglers in hits.

Hoffman led North Central Texas College Lions with two hits in two at bats.
