Cisco College Wranglers fell behind early and couldn't come back in a 12-4 loss to Vernon College Chaparral on Wednesday. Vernon College Chaparral scored on a stolen base by Kiana Gibson and a single by Camile Nunez in the first inning.

The Cisco College Wranglers struggled to contain the high-powered offense of Vernon College Chaparral, giving up 12 runs.

Vernon College Chaparral got on the board in the first inning. Gibson grounded out, scoring one run.

Vernon College Chaparral scored five runs in the third inning. The big inning for Vernon College Chaparral came thanks to a triple by America Rubio, a single by Kaila Eastburn, and by Logan Menzies.

Laynie Brown earned the victory on the rubber for Vernon College Chaparral. The pitcher went six innings, allowing four runs on five hits and striking out three.

Summer Hasfurter and Heather Wineman came in for relief pitching.

Bailey Buck started the game and took the loss for Cisco College Wranglers. The pitcher surrendered nine runs on nine hits over two and two-thirds innings, striking out two and walking one

Cisco College Wranglers socked one home run on the day. Kadee Luna had a homer in the fourth inning.

Buck went 2-for-3 at the plate to lead Cisco College Wranglers in hits.

Vernon College Chaparral scattered 16 hits in the game. Rubio, Callie Yellin, Nunez, Menzies, Eastburn, and Chloe Bryant all managed multiple hits for Vernon College Chaparral.
