Late Score Costs Cisco College Wranglers Against Vernon College Chaparral

Cisco College Wranglers lost the lead late in an 8-5 defeat to Vernon College Chaparral on Wednesday. The game was tied at five with Vernon College Chaparral batting in the bottom of the fifth when Kaylyn Aguirre tripled on a 2-2 count, scoring one run.

Vernon College Chaparral opened up scoring in the first inning. Kaila Eastburn homered on a 1-1 count, scoring two runs.

Vernon College Chaparral knotted the game up at five in the bottom of the fourth inning, when an error scored one run for Vernon College Chaparral.

Cisco College Wranglers scored five runs in the third inning. Taylor EppersonMaddie MurleyBailey BuckTrinity Dudley, and Alyssa Kelley all drove in runs in the frame.

Eastburn was the winning pitcher for Vernon College Chaparral. The righty allowed six hits and five runs over seven innings, striking out seven.

Caitlyn Rangel started the game and for Cisco College Wranglers. The righty allowed five hits and five runs over three and a third innings, striking out four.

Michelle Soules came in the 3rd inning taking the loss for the Cisco College Wranglers. 

Cisco College Wranglers tallied one home run on the day. Epperson put one out in the third inning.

Buck went 2-for-4 at the plate to lead Cisco College Wranglers in hits.

Vernon College Chaparral racked up eight hits. Chloe BryantAguirre, and America Rubio all had multiple hits for Vernon College Chaparral.
