Cisco College Wranglers Falls To Hill College On Walk-Off

A walk-off left Cisco College Wranglers on the wrong end of a 4-2 defeat to Hill College on Saturday. The game was tied at two with Hill College batting in the bottom of the ninth when Kristin Gutierrez homered on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring two runs.

Hill College fired up the offense in the first inning.  Bridgette Montes doubled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring one run.

Cisco College Wranglers knotted the game up at two in the top of the seventh inning, when Alyssa Hickman hit a solo homer.

Hannah Spring led the Hill College to victory in the pitcher's circle. The bulldog surrendered two runs on seven hits over nine innings, striking out eight and walking one.

Bailey Buck took the loss for Cisco College Wranglers. The righty surrendered four runs on eight hits over eight innings, striking out three.

Cisco College Wranglers socked two home runs on the day. Sara Papizan had a four bagger in the fourth inning. Hickman went deep in the seventh inning.

Cisco College Wranglers collected seven hits on the day.  Maddie Murley and Papizan all managed multiple hits for Cisco College Wranglers.  Papizan and Murley each collected two hits to lead Cisco College Wranglers.

Hill College racked up eight hits in the game.  GutierrezKaylie Burdine, and Montes each collected multiple hits for Hill College.
