Despite Collecting Seven Hits, Cisco College Wranglers Falls To Northeast Texas CC

Cisco College Wranglers fell 14-5 to Northeast Texas CC on Saturday despite out-hitting them seven to six.

The Cisco College Wranglers struggled to contain the high-powered offense of Northeast Texas CC, giving up 14 runs.

Cisco College Wranglers Varsity got things started in the first inning. Cisco College Wranglers scored one run when Alexis Magallanez singled.

Northeast Texas CC pulled away for good with four runs in the second inning. In the second Abby Russ singled on a 2-2 count, scoring one run, Kadi Downs doubled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring one run, and Emma Farquhar singled on a 2-0 count, scoring two runs.

Northeast Texas CC scored ten runs in the third inning. The big inning for Northeast Texas CC came thanks to a walk by Downs , a home run by Tasha Pierce , by Hanna Allen, an error on a ball put in play by Pearl Perry, and a double by Averie Ayers.

Emily Cole got the win for Northeast Texas CC. The fireballer surrendered five runs on seven hits over five innings, striking out one.

Michelle Soules took the loss for Cisco College Wranglers. The righthander went two innings, allowing seven runs on three hits and striking out four.
