Cisco College Wranglers Falls To Howard College Hawks After Eighth Inning Score

Cisco College Wranglers lost the lead late in a 4-3 defeat to Howard College Hawks on Monday. The game was tied at three with Howard College Hawks batting in the top of the eighth when Sasha Willems drew a walk, scoring one run.

Cisco lost despite out-hitting Howard College Hawks four to three.

The Wranglers took an early lead in the first inning. Taylor Epperson grounded out, scoring one run.

Then, Cisco evened things up at three in the bottom of the sixth inning when Sara Papizan hit a solo homer.

Caitlyn Rangel was in the pitcher's circle for the Wranglers. The righthander surrendered two runs on two hits over five innings, striking out seven and walking one. Michelle Soules and Nikki Ramirez entered the game from the bullpen, throwing two and a third innings and two-thirds of an inning respectiviely. 

Cisco College launced one home run on the day when Papizan hit a long ball in the sixth inning. 

Papizan lead Cisco with three hits in three at bats. The Wranglers didn't commit a single error in the field.
