Great Opening Weekend for the Wranglers

Cisco College grabbed an early lead on its way to a 9-5 victory over Western Texas College on Saturday. Cisco launched two home runs on the day. Reece MacRae went deep in the second inning. Josh Overbeek went for the long ball in the first inning. Freshman Zac Colletti picked up his collegiate win on the mound.

It came down to the wire on Saturday in game 2, with Cisco College taking victory on a dramatic walk-off home run in the late innings that sealed their victory over Western Texas College.  The game was tied at three with Cisco College Wranglers Varsity batting in the bottom of the eighth when Jack Cue homered on a 1-1 count, scoring two runs. Cue led the Wranglers to victory by driving in four runs.  Cue went 2-for-4 at the plate.  Cue drove in runs on a home run in the fourth and a home run in the eighth. Tate Thompson started the game on the mound. Thompson surrendered one run on two hits over five innings, striking out seven and walking one. Luke Greenlee picked up the win in relief for his first collegiate win.
