Wranglers Claim 4 Wins

February 28th

Game 1

The Wranglers defeated TCS 3-2 on Monday thanks to a walk-off single. The game was tied at two with Cisco batting in the bottom of the seventh when Hill singled on a 0-1 count, scoring one run.

The pitching was strong on both sides, Wranglers struck out five and TCS struck out seven. Davis earned the win for Cisco, he lasted one and one-third innings, allowing one hit and one run while striking out one and walking zero.

Hill went 2-for-4 at the plate to lead the Wranglers in hits. Cisco didn't commit a single error on the field, Serfass lead with eight chances in the field.

Game 2

Cisco Wranglers stole the lead late in the game in a 9-6 victory over TCS. The Wranglers trailed 3-2 in the bottom of the fifth inning when Pierce singled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring two runs. Both offenses were strong at the plate as the Wranglers collected three hits and TCS with seven.

Plotkin led the Wranglers to victory on the hill, he went three innings, allowing two runs on three hits, striking out four and walking zero. Maclin and Walls entered the game out of the bullpen and helped to close out the game in relief. Hill, Price, and Pierce each collected one hit to lead the Wranglers to victory.  

 

March 2nd

Game 1

The Wranglers defeated Concordia Lutheran 5-4 on Wednesday after taking the lead late in the game. The game was tied at three with Cisco College batting in the top of the ninth when Seider's sac fly scored one run for the Wranglers.

In the top of the seventh inning, Cisco tied things up at three when Moore singled on a 2-0 count, scoring one run. Davis surrendered one run on three hits over four innings, striking out three and walking one. Hayes and Walls entered the game in relief, Walls recorded the last out earn the save for Cisco college.

Moore went 4-for-5 at the plate to lead the Wranglers in the victory over Concordia Lutheran.

Game 2

In the second game the Wranglers defeated Concordia Lutheran 6-3 after taking the lead late in the game. The game was tied at three with the Wranglers batting in the top of the sixth when Hill drew a walk, scoring one run. Concordia Lutheran scored three runs in the fourth inning, but Cisco still managed to pull out the victory. Zamora, S Moreno, and Sydnor powered the big inning with RBIs.

Cisco evened things up at three in the top of the fifth inning when Crump grounded out, scoring one run. Three runs were put up in the same inning, a single coming from Pendergrass and a groundout by Crump.

Johnson earned the victory on the mound for Cisco, allowing seven hits and three runs over seven innings, striking out seven.

The Wranglers totaled seven hits, Price and Seider each racked up multiple hits for Cisco. Price went 3-for-4 at the plate to lead the Wranglers in hits. The Wranglers committed no errors in the field, Price had the most chances in the field with seven.
