Lady Wranglers get  First Win of the Season in a Home Field Thriller!!
               The Wranglers earned their first victory on the season and first win under new coaches Brandon McGibeny and Kendall Ayers in a 3-2 overtime thriller against Mountain View College. This was a rematch from the previous week when the Wranglers traveled to Mountain View College and lost 3-0. 
 
              The Wranglers opened the game strong putting pressure on their opponent from the opening whistle and provided chances early. Kate Recendez was finally able to break through after a scrum in the box with roughly 17 minutes left in the half to put the Wranglers up 1-0. After going back and forth, Mountain View would find the goal in the 38th minute with a breakaway goal to even the score at halftime at 1-1. 
Both teams would have opportunities in the second half but it was Mountain View who pulled ahead in the 81st minute in another 1v1 opportunity with the goalkeeper. The Wranglers would strike back quickly to even the score at 2-2 with a goal by Tyeliyah Jones as she was able to dribble through the Mountain View defense and send the game in to overtime. 
 
              The Wranglers wouldn’t need long to put away the golden goal as Kate Recendez was able to net her second goal of the game and the game winner from 25 yards out.Tyteonna Davis played all 90 minutes in goal, coming up big with 18 saves in the match.
 
              Wranglers move to 1-3 on the season and will open up Region 5 play against Ranger College at home on Tuesday, September 10 at 6:00 PM.
